Industries

Our technologies and services are used in demanding production environments with complex operations, often subject to stringent environmental regulations.

Our industries

Different materials, regulations and locations. Our experience allows us to work across industries, with custom solutions that meet the specific requirements of each operating environment.

Cement and building materials producers

Clinker, limestone, additives and fuels are handled in dusty environments, in plants where continuous operation is essential. The transition to alternative fuels is also changing incoming materials and the requirements of the systems that convey them.

We build handling systems connecting quarries, production plants, storage and dispatch areas. This is also a sector where upgrades are particularly frequent: adapting an existing plant to new materials costs less than replacing it.

Oil&Gas

Plants subject to highly stringent technical specifications and certification requirements, with customers working to detailed specifications and highly selective supplier qualification procedures.

We build mechanical structures and conveying systems for process plants, designed to meet project specifications and applicable regulations.
This is the sector in which we developed our first EPC projects: in-house engineering, manufacturing and surface treatment at the same facility allow us to manage this level of responsibility.

Port and logistics infrastructure

At the quayside, time is the main cost: every hour a vessel remains idle affects the entire logistics chain. High throughput, reliable ship-to-shore transfer and, in ports close to residential areas, rigorous dust containment are essential.

We build ship loaders and unloaders, mobile quayside equipment and conveying systems linking the quayside to storage areas. In this sector, operational continuity is particularly critical and planned maintenance has a major impact on results.

Within this sector, we have developed two specialisms: offshore installations and agri-food product handling.

Offshore installations

The marine environment attacks structures, available space is limited, maintenance access is restricted and the certifications required are among the most stringent. Every component must be designed to last where intervention is difficult and costly.

Between 2005 and 2012, we designed, manufactured and commissioned five offshore Floating Transfer Stations. Surface treatment and painting are carried out in-house as part of the production cycle.

Agri-food industry

Grain, seeds, flours and other milled products require different handling from inert materials: handling can degrade product quality, contamination must be prevented, surfaces must be cleanable and combustible dust management is a design constraint.

We design conveying and storage systems that reduce stress on the product and simplify cleaning and inspection.

Mining and quarrying

Materials are abrasive and vary in particle size. Distances between the excavation face and the processing plant are often considerable, and sites are located in areas with complex logistics. The plant must operate continuously under conditions that accelerate wear.

We build fixed and mobile belt conveyors, storage systems and modular structures that can be transported and assembled on site, designed to withstand abrasion at the points subject to the greatest stress.

Glass industry

Silica sand, soda ash, limestone and glass cullet require precise dosing: batch composition determines the quality of the finished product, and a glass furnace operates continuously for years without shutdown. The materials are fine and abrasive, and generate dust that must be contained throughout the handling route.

We build conveying and storage systems for incoming raw materials and recovered cullet, designed to withstand abrasion and maintain continuous plant operation. We work with global glass manufacturers.

Foundries and steelworks

Scrap, ores, lime, coke and additives are heavy, abrasive and often hot materials, handled in continuous cycles in some of the harshest heavy-industry environments. Mechanical and thermal stresses are constant.

We build modular mechanical structures and conveying systems sized for heavy loads and prolonged exposure to heat and abrasion. The same sector also includes plants for glassworks and ceramics.

Debris processing and removal plants

The material is heterogeneous and unsorted, and may contain foreign objects, making the flow variable and unpredictable. Many of these plants also operate as temporary installations and need to be assembled, moved and reassembled.

We design robust mobile systems and modular structures that can be dismantled and reused, capable of handling irregular material flow without stopping.

Ceramics and sanitaryware

Clays, feldspars, kaolin and sands arrive in different forms and particle sizes and pass through several storage stages before the body mix is prepared. Systems are needed that handle heterogeneous materials without cross-contamination, in plants where space is often already fully used.

We design conveying and storage systems for raw materials and semi-finished products, integrated with existing plant equipment.
