ELEMENT-IA
Every operating plant generates signals.
ELEMENT-IA is the digital platform we developed to turn your plant data into strategic decisions.
ELEMENT-IA
An operating handling plant continuously generates signals: throughput, power draw, operating hours, stoppages and alarms. In most cases, this data already exists across PLCs, weighing systems and business software that do not communicate with one another, leaving it unused.
ELEMENT-IA is an advanced analytics platform based on machine learning algorithms that makes data from machinery and plants easy to visualise. Information is placed in context and combined with other company data sources to generate actionable insights: information that supports real decisions.
The platform connects through the PLCs and sensors already installed in the plant, with an installation designed to avoid disruption to operations.
How ELEMENT-IA works
Machine and component
Operating status, actual operating hours, energy consumption, production and weighing data, deviations from expected parameters and automatic notifications. This is the foundation for predictive maintenance.
Plant and line
An overview of the handling system, actual throughput compared with design throughput, analysis of stoppages and their causes, actual cost per tonne handled, energy consumption and environmental data.
Company and Group
Comparison across multiple plants or sites, maintenance planning and integration with existing business software. This level supports those making investment decisions rather than those operating the line.
What ELEMENT-IA enables you to do
- Make timely decisions with real-time data analysis
- Monitor machines, plants and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
- Calculate production costs accurately
- Track resource consumption and emissions
- Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks
- Improve communication between the parties involved
- Reduce major maintenance interventions
- Manage plants, vehicles and resources in an integrated way
How it changes our work
Why we develop it ourselves
The project took shape when INTEGRA Holding acquired an equity stake in LISIDE, a company specialising in industrial software solutions.
Developing a proprietary tool rather than adopting an off-the-shelf solution is a deliberate choice, driven by the value of our knowledge of handling plants. The platform brings together engineering and digital expertise, drawing on both disciplines.
For SAMMI, it is also a way to broaden our value proposition for longstanding and strategic customers, combining engineering and digital capabilities in an integrated offering that supports the sustainable transition. This places our work within Industry 5.0: technology serving people, efficiency and process sustainability.
