RE-BUILD

We upgrade existing plants

We give existing plants a new lease of life. Upgrading existing equipment requires less time and fewer resources than complete replacement. Our work begins by assessing this option.

Before replacing a plant, we assess what can be retained

After twenty years of operation, a plant often still has a sound supporting structure, while the problem lies elsewhere: a component undersized for current throughput, an outdated control system or regulations that have changed.
Upgrading the existing plant requires less time, fewer raw materials and lower costs than complete replacement.
We begin by assessing whether this is possible.

We also work on plants from other manufacturers

In-house manufacturing and 3D design allow us to survey, redesign and manufacture components even without the original documentation, a common situation for plants that have been in operation for decades.
New life for plants already in operation

When plant revamping makes sense

Performance no longer meets production requirements

The plant was designed for throughput levels that have since been exceeded, or for a material that has changed.

Operating costs have increased

Rising energy consumption, unplanned downtime and major maintenance that becomes recurrent.

Regulations have changed

Safety requirements, emissions limits, CE marking of structures and local environmental constraints.

Available technology has changed

Automation, control and monitoring systems that did not exist when the plant was built can now be integrated into its existing structure.

Our approach

Assessment of current performance
Surveying plant condition, measuring actual output and identifying critical issues. This stage concludes with an assessment report, separate from the commercial proposal.
Engineering the upgrade
We define the smallest effective scope of work, retaining everything that can be reused.
Replacing or upgrading outdated components
Designed and manufactured in-house to fit the existing installation.
Integrating new technologies
Electrical, automation and monitoring systems, managed by our in-house engineering team.
Upgrade rather than replace, making the best use of resources.

The most sustainable plant is the one already in place

Extending a plant’s service life is a direct application of circular economy principles to an industrial asset.

Upgrading rather than replacing means less steel, less transport, less energy used in construction and no disposal of equipment that still works. The most cost-effective option can also have the lowest impact.

ELEMENT-IA

Innovation for greater efficiency

ELEMENT-IA is the digital platform we developed for industrial plant optimisation and predictive management, specifically designed for bulk material handling systems. Throughout the plant lifecycle, ELEMENT-IA collects data from machinery and plants, combines it with other company data sources and turns it into actionable information to improve the overall operating process.

Solutions for the entire plant lifecycle

Our work covers the entire plant lifecycle: handling, the design and construction of new systems; revamping, the upgrading of systems already in operation; and maintenance and spare parts, which extend their service life.

Unsure whether to upgrade or replace?

That is the question we answer during the assessment.
